About

Designed for High-Value Extensions, New Builds and Renovations

These timber bifold doors are suited to premium extensions, new build schemes, orangery projects, and refurbishment of existing properties where a high-end finish is required. Large glazed panels maximise natural daylight, enhancing perceived space and contributing to a higher quality internal environment. When open, the bifold configuration creates a wide, clear opening that supports modern open-plan layouts and outdoor entertainment areas. Systems can be specified to complement both traditional and contemporary elevations, ensuring visual continuity across the build.

SLIDING BIFOLD DOOR – AVAILABLE COLOURS

Our sliding Bifold doors are available in hardwoods such as Oak or Sapele and can be stained for a more natural appearance or painted.

Construction Quality and Material Options

All bifold doors are manufactured from fully laminated hardwood to provide dimensional stability and long-term durability under UK conditions. Country Hardwood offers three principal hardwood options—Sapele, Idigbo and Oak—enabling the design team to align appearance, performance and budget with the overall specification. Doors can be supplied stained to highlight the timber grain or factory-finished in virtually any RAL or BS colour, with colour matching available to integrate with existing fenestration or wider façade schemes.

Handles and hinges are fully routered into the door profiles, delivering a clean, slim-line appearance when leafs are stacked and reducing on-site adjustment time. Head and bottom rails are manufactured as complete sections, supporting structural integrity and consistent operation over the life of the installation. Pre-drilled holes and pre-routed hinge positions support an efficient screw-fit installation process for site teams.

Performance, Operation and Hardware

Standard specification includes 28mm glass units, supporting strong thermal and visual performance in line with premium residential expectations. A top rolling system is used to provide smooth, controlled operation, even on larger configurations. Systems can be manufactured up to approximately 3 metres high and 15 metres wide, with individual door panels up to 1 metre wide, giving flexibility for large-span openings and complex layouts.

Threshold options include aluminium or timber solutions that can be detailed to achieve a flush floor finish with no step between internal and external levels, enhancing accessibility and visual continuity. Slim-line profiles with 68mm sightlines, along with 92mm options, allow the design to be tuned to either contemporary minimalism or more traditional proportions, as required by the project brief.

Security components are built into the system design. Thumb turn locking is supplied as standard, supported by lockable flush bolts and externally lockable key options. Multipoint deadbolt and hook locking on master doors, dependent on configuration, provides enhanced security performance suitable for ground-floor installations and high-traffic applications. Hardware is available in a choice of brass, polished chrome or satin chrome finishes to coordinate with internal ironmongery and project standards.

Integrated Options and Application Scope

Blinds within the glass units are available on request, enabling integrated light and privacy control without additional surface-mounted products. Country Hardwood’s timber bifold doors are specified across a wide range of projects, from traditional timber orangery structures to contemporary conservatories and high-end extensions, where a consistent hardwood fenestration solution is required across windows and doors.

Perfect for Every Project

From traditional timber orangery builds to contemporary conservatory designs, Country Hardwood’s hardwood bifold doors provide that premium finish that elevates any property. They’re the choice for homeowners and self-builders seeking authentic quality—a solution that combines beautiful craftsmanship with practical performance.
